Our IB Camp started off with us getting on a train to Görlitz. The train ride was already filled with a lot of excitement: What is the accommodation going to look like? What are we going to do when we arrive? This questions got answered pretty fast when we arrived in Görlitz and walked to our youth hostel. There our IB coordinator Ms. Protextor, Ms. Folprecht and Ms. Reitz talked us through the CAS program. After that we had dinner and free time in the city. We were really lucky because it was the weekend of the city festival in Görlitz. A big, fun fair, lots of delicious food and countless musical performances made our evening really fun and memorable.
The next day we woke up and went for a run and some exercise in the park. It was really relaxing to do yoga while the sun was still rising and the birds were chirping in the background. After our little exercise program, we went back to our hostel and had breakfast. Then our IB coordinators talked us through some more important IB diploma information, for example our Extended Essay.
After that it was sadly time to say goodbye and leave, but nevertheless we all enjoyed our little trip.
