International Class (MYP)

Dresden and its surroundings are becoming a primary center for the European microelectronics and chip industry, welcoming scientists from around the world to its many scientific institutions and the prestigious Dresden University of Technology.

For the families who join them, Bertolt Brecht Gymnasium (BeBe) is expanding its existing international educational opportunities taught in the English language. In the 2026-2027 school year, BeBe will introduce an international preparatory class for grade 5 with English as language of instruction. Beginning in 2027-2028, BeBe plans to offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) for grades 6-10, an internationally recognised middle school certificate.

Preference for admission to the international class is given to students whose native language is not German and whose families are staying in Germany temporarily because of the parents' professional activities.

Registration for the International Class

Required documents:

• Birth certificate and personal identification document (for presentation )
• Copies of the most recent school reports
• Application form for admission

• Wednesday, 11 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Tuesday, 24 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, 25 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Thursday, 26 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

On all days, the school office is closed between 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
