The introduction to the Saxonian Education Act states: "The schooling and educational mandate is defined by the right of every young person to get an education that depends on their personal skills and interests and not on their origin and economic situation."
Children of immigrants, independent of their nationality or economic situation, have the same chance for educational opportunities as every other student. Indeed, they have special educational capabilities due to their bi- and multilingual skills as well as their diverse cultural and life experiences. The educational integration of immigrants in Saxony is characterised by the equality of instructional and social content. Successful integration means participation in society, politics and culture outside of school and educational opportunites in school. Administrators and teachers in Saxon schools are trained to contribute to this integration with a pluralistic understanding of every student. We proudly offer DAZ (German as second language) in our school.
